The Beta Bros wanted to shake things up this episode. It might be coincidental, or clearly scientific, and perhaps a bit mystical, regardless of how you’d like to classify it, one thing remains true: THE BETA REPORT EFFECT IS REAL! They've often joked about the power of the TBR Effect, but now even we are beginning to believe it. The Beta Bros react to the astonishing ways The Effect has worked its entertainment magic in so many ways this week. From the sudden swell of Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker images and videos flooding our streams, to The House with a Clock in its Walls hitting the top spot on the TOP 5, we’ve developed the Midas Touch and we’d like to share the wealth.
The KON also reacts to a movie he may or may not have seen, as a brand new Bumblebee Trailer buzzed its way onto the internet. Plus, there are some creepy things going on in the TBR studio today…and Jay blames The Nun! Listen to find out if The Beta Bros made it out of this episode alive.

There are some timeless love stories in movies and television that transcend the confines of our screens and nestle deep in the warmest, most cuddliest parts of our hearts. We watch them and dwell on them, but then realize, its not real. But, what if, they weren't fake? What if, our favorite movie/TV romances could magically slip out of the screen, and just like the story of Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves actually getting married on the set of Dracula, their onscreen tales of love were actually, real? If this were the case, The KON and Jay give their favorite movie couples they wish could come true.
And, what's a good relationship without a few romantic rendezvous? A lovers getaway? A mid-summer soiree? Well, have no fear, because The Beta Bros have a few museum recommendations that will breath life into any love affair..while also satiating your hunger for adventure and excitement in the new world of dark tourism. There's nothing more romantic than the museum of ventriloquist dummies, Mexican mummy's, or Toilets in India! We got all this and so much more, on this week's episode of The Beta Report.
Comic-Con 2018 was this weekend aaaannnnddd....Did anyone really care? The Beta Boys are back to talk about the underwhelming sensation we all got after this year's Comic-Con. Its a reminder of just how much Disney/Marvel/Lucasfilm mean to the convention and how its presence and/or absence is definitely felt. Or is it something else? Is the lack of new and creative ideas put at the forefront once the spectacle of Disney and friends aren't there to hide the mediocrity?

The way we consume TV shows today, has changed dramatically in the last couple of years. With streaming services, cable channel apps, and video-sharing websites all providing access to what we could only get at a certain time in one particular place, has now opened up a world of opportunities to mind-numbingly binge every TV show that is out there. But, with all those possibilities now available to us, it might be hard to figure out what to watch, when to watch, and where to watch some of the new and returning shows in 2018. That’s where we come in. The Beta Report has done all your homework for you. They don’t call one of us the King of The Nerds for nothing. Happy New Year everyone! We hope you had a fun and safe holiday season with friends and family. Now, its our turn to celebrate with you as we look forward to kicking off the new year with a brand new show! But, before we dive head first into the new year, we want to look back at what 2017 had to offer.
Last year was such a great year in entertainment. From Logan to Wonder Woman, COCO to Get Out, Mindhunter to The Punisher, we had one of, if not, THE BEST year for movies and TV shows EVER. While some of you might consider that a bit of an exaggeration, its hard to deny that 2017 was, at the very least, one of the greatest years for comic book movies and TV shows we've ever had! Just look at this list: Wonder Woman, Logan, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Marvel's The Punisher on Netflix, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2, The Gifted, Thor: Ragnarok, Legion, Justice League, etc. And that's just the comic book related stuff. The list can go on and on if we consider the other greats (cough cough...STAR WARS, Stranger Things: Season 2, IT...cough cough).

What’s thanksgiving without a few leftovers? And what’s a post-thanksgiving episode without some tofurkey talk and a little more Justice League thoughts? This week, we revisit last week’s Justice League discussion and touch on a few things that we didn’t have a chance to get to. Namely, the appearance of Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke, his stand-alone movie, The Legion of Doom, and the DCEU’s future. We also had to talk about Kevin Feige’s most recent comments about Avengers 4, and the most certain end of the current Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it. Who will we see in the next phase?
