The Beta Report Effect Strikes Again!

It might be coincidental, or clearly scientific, and perhaps a bit mystical, regardless of how you’d like to classify it, one thing remains true: THE BETA REPORT EFFECT IS REAL! They've often joked about the power of the TBR Effect, but now even we are beginning to believe it. The Beta Bros react to the astonishing ways The Effect has worked its entertainment magic in so many ways this week. From the sudden swell of Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker images and videos flooding our streams, to The House with a Clock in its Walls hitting the top spot on the TOP 5, we’ve developed the Midas Touch and we’d like to share the wealth.

The KON also reacts to a movie he may or may not have seen, as a brand new Bumblebee Trailer buzzed its way onto the internet. Plus, there are some creepy things going on in the TBR studio today…and Jay blames The Nun! Listen to find out if The Beta Bros made it out of this episode alive.

The new trailer for Marvel’s first post Infinity War movie: Captain Marvel has just fallen from the skies and onto our screens and we are blown away! Strap in as we blast off into the cosmic realm and geek out over all of the Kree fighting, Skrull invading, Blockbuster crashing action that was shown in this epic trailer. Also, aside from just reacting to the trailer, we also offer up our own thoughts and theories of how this will connect to the Post Snap Era of Marvel films. COMIC-CON 2018 RECAP

Comic-Con 2018 was this weekend aaaannnnddd....Did anyone really care? The Beta Boys are back to talk about the underwhelming sensation we all got after this year's Comic-Con. Its a reminder of just how much Disney/Marvel/Lucasfilm mean to the convention and how its presence and/or absence is definitely felt. Or is it something else? Is the lack of new and creative ideas put at the forefront once the spectacle of Disney and friends aren't there to hide the mediocrity? 

But, it wasn't all doom and gloom, there were a few standouts that actually shattered our boredom and blew our expectations out of the water! The KON, Jay, and Uno dive into their favorite trailers from the Con and point out a few gems that we should all be looking forward to with a new TRAILER PARK segment.

4th of July Post-Show

Pixar Movies Make Me Cry

I think we can all relate with the title. For years, Pixar has figured out new and exciting ways to make us cry...and we love it! Whether its 30 minutes of robots lovingly musing and not speaking a word, introducing a couple's love and heartbreak in the first 10 minutes of a film, or allowing us to share one final emotional moment with our favorite toys. If Pixar movies don't make you feel a certain way by the end of each movie...you might want to check your pulse! So, with The Incredibles 2 shattering records and taking hold of the box office's top spot, The Beta Bros, The KON and Jay, offer up their 5 favorite Pixar movies. The results might make you un poco loco. They also offer up their 5 LEAST favorite Pixar movies, which was actually harder to do than expected.

The Incredibles are Better Than The Avengers...

Never mind the clickbait title, I think there is some truth to this. In one corner, there is a family of heroes that waited 14 years to release a sequel. In the other, we have a team of heroes who became a family, that spent 10 years doing nothing but releasing sequels. And, though we've grown up with both groups, there is a certain fondness for The Incredibles that is nestled deep in my Pixar loving heart. Knowing what Toy Story 3 was able to emotionally pull from me, I can already tell that The Incredibles can, and undoubtedly will, do the same. So, can The Incredibles be better films than The Avengers movies? Is SOLO a Flop? TBR's SOLO Review [SPOILERS]

SOLO has smuggled its way into theaters and lets just say, people are having a bad feeling about this. There's been a lot of nerd rage surrounding this film and the visceral reaction by the Star Wars community has never been more hostile. But, is SOLO: A Star Wars Story really as bad as people are making it out to be? Is SOLO not worth watching? Is SOLO: A Star Wars Story truly a flop? 

This week, The Beta Bros send Uno off on his Money Heist vacation as he hustles his way through the mean streets of Spain. Ready Player Won: TBR Got it Wrong

Ready Player One, you did it! With the exception of the KON, who had all of the faith in the world for this movie, Jay and Uno both had their reservations. Well, we're glad to admit that WE WERE WRONG. Ready Player One was a great movie and we'll be diving into what we loved, what we wished we would have seen more of, and what we got totally wrong.

Infinity War Trailer: Who Will Die?

Over the last ten years, Marvel Studios has carefully crafted and produced an unstoppable Universe that continues to expand and dominate the entertainment world. We all know and love our Marvel heroes. Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther, the Hulk...But, has anyone ever heard of Russell Sprouts & Copeye?!?! No! Because this is the birth of new characters from a new Cinematic Universe. One that will destroy the DCEU. One that will Completely overtake the MCU. One Universe that will stand alone when the dust has settled: THE CLIMACTIC UNO CINEMATIC UNIVERSE (CUCU)!

The Oscars 2018

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the 90th Academy Awards...BETA REPORT REACTION! We've got a star studded evening for you filled with Hollywood's greatest stars including The KON who we all know from his groundbreaking performance as a pseudo-royal-genius who manages to rally an entire country behind his knowledge of nerdy things. We'll also have a special performance by the enigmatic but always spectacular, UNO doing a heartfelt rendition of "Hey Hey Hey (Goodbye)". Finally, we have Jay, the minuscule man who has adapted his miraculous story as a forever five year old in his eloquently documented blogs.

So, we have a great evening filled with the TOP 5 movies at the Box Office, another edition of Go/No Go and a Stream Come True, plus much much more. It's going to be a fantastic night filled with many great moments, in what will undoubtedly be a night to remember among the stars. 

Magic March

Come close. Closer...and look into our magic balls. Three of them in fact, as the Kon, Uno and Jay take you on a mystical journey through the lands of Magic March. Let us bewitch you with our March movie preview as the boy's breakdown the upcoming movies we think will be the standouts of this pretty stacked month. Take heed as well, as a tempestuous wind of reboots and remakes may come crashing down upon us in the near future. Stare at the glimmering, glistening, gleaming shine of our magic balls and wait and see if films like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Scarface, The Crow, The NeverEnding Story, or Short Circuit should get a Reboot or, simply, just get The Boot!
